About Turf Ninjas
Turf Ninjas was founded in 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in Edmonton, Alberta. The founders, Tim Gourlay and Benjamin Lavin, have a firm belief that opportunity is often found within adversity, and that is exactly how the company came to be.
Tim and Ben (AKA "The Ninjas") also own and operate an indoor ninja obstacle facility called Fitset Ninja that was hit hard in 2020 when the pandemic forced them to temporarily close their doors. During this time of closure, Tim & Ben decided to get rid of some of the artificial turf used at the ninja gym. After selling out of turf just days after posting online, they realized there was a huge, unmet demand for artificial turf, as well as, other specialty flooring types in the area.
One thing led to another and before they knew it they were building an inventory of a variety of artificial grass and rubber flooring, and they are now supplying hundreds of people every month in Edmonton, Calgary and other parts of Alberta with artificial turf and rubber flooring solutions.
